- Support the configuration, deployment, testing, and validation of system patches, updates, and new modules, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
- Monitor system interfaces and data exchange between the HIS and other healthcare applications, such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), LIS, ERP, and specialized devices. Troubleshoot integration errors related to HL7 or FHIR standards.
- Collaborate with the biomedical engineering team to ensure seamless integration of medical devices (e.g., vital signs monitors, ventilators) with the EMR/HIS for automatic data capture.
- Maintain up-to-date system documentation, configuration records, troubleshooting runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) .
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux system administration .
- Databases: Strong knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL) for querying, troubleshooting, and reporting .
- Healthcare Standards: Understanding of HL7, FHIR, and DICOM protocols for system interoperability .
- Networking: Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs to assist in troubleshooting connectivity issues .
- Ticketing Tools: Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, Jira, or Fresh service for incident and problem management .
