We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee our inventory operations at the Honda Service Centre in Nagercoil. You will manage the procurement, storage, and distribution of genuine Honda spare parts. Your primary goal is to ensure high inventory accuracy, maintain optimal stock levels for the service workshop, and drive retail parts sales while maintaining Honda’s strict quality standards. - Forecast part requirements based on service center demand.
- Order genuine Honda parts and accessories regularly.
- Maintain optimum stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Minimize excess or obsolete inventory accumulation.
- Conduct regular physical stock audits and verification.
Operations & Workshop Support
- Ensure rapid parts supply to technicians.
- Reduce vehicle turnaround time in the workshop.
- Supervise the receiving, unpacking, and binning processes.
- Track backorders and expedite delayed shipments.
- Inspect incoming parts for damage or discrepancies. [1]
Financial & Sales Performance
- Meet monthly parts revenue and profit targets.
- Manage the parts department budget effectively.
- Oversee pricing strategies according to company policies.
- Handle billing, invoicing, and counter sales. [1, 2]
Team Leadership & Compliance
- Supervise and train parts counter executives.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehousing.
- Implement Honda Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Resolve customer complaints regarding parts availability. [1, 2]
Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience & Education
- Mandatory: Minimum 5 years of experience in the automobile industry.
- Preferred: Prior experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager at an authorized automobile dealership (experience with Honda is a major plus).
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive components and systems.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management System (DMS) software.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking tools.
- Fluency in Tamil for local communication; working knowledge of English.
- Strong negotiation, leadership, and inventory planning skills
