Job Position: Manager Purchase
Exp: 8+ Years
Qualification: Diploma / B Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement Planning
- Prepare procurement plans based on production schedules, project requirements, and material forecasts.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Planning, Stores, and Project teams for material requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production or project delays.
2. Vendor Development & Management
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for steel, structural components, roofing sheets, fasteners, insulation, paint, and fabrication materials.
- Maintain an approved vendor database.
- Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
3. Commercial Negotiation
- Obtain quotations and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contracts.
- Achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
4. Purchase Order Management
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels of critical materials.
- Optimize inventory carrying costs.
- Track market trends and steel price fluctuations for better purchasing decisions.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives and alternate sourcing strategies.
6. Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for factory and project sites.
- Ensure proper material dispatch and receipt documentation.
- Resolve delivery delays and supplier issues promptly.
7. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain records of quotations, POs, contracts, invoices, and vendor agreements.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with GST, statutory requirements, and company policies.

Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. (Mechanical/Civil) or Graduate with MBA/Supply Chain Management.
- 5–10+ years of procurement experience in PEB, steel fabrication, construction, EPC, or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement software.
