JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: REBAR DETAILER & REBAR ESTIMATOR
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop rebar placement drawings using structural and architectural plans.
- Generate bar bending schedules (BBS) with precise dimensions and quantities.
- Ensure detailing complies with relevant codes and standards such as ACI and Canadian.
- Incorporate client-specific requirements into the detailing process.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to clarify project details.
- Resolve discrepancies between design documents and detailing requirements.
- Perform self-checks on drawings and schedules for accuracy.
- Ensure detailing outputs meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, schedules, and revisions.
- Prepare revision logs and update drawings as required.
- Perform accurate rebar quantity take-offs from structural and architectural drawings.
- Prepare bar lists and summaries based on the project scope.
- Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Incorporate client-specific requirements into the estimation process.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to clarify project details.
- Resolve discrepancies in project plans or specifications.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals and estimation reports.
- Maintain organized records of all estimatesand supporting documents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in rebar detailing.
- Knowledge of rebar detailing standards and codes (ACI and Canadian).

Skills:
- Proficiency in rebar detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rebar CAD).
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
