Role Overview:
The Assistant Registrar – Quality & Compliance will be responsible for ensuring academic, regulatory and operational compliance of WISE programs. The role will focus on adherence to UGC, State Private University norms, Apprenticeship Act, NAPS/NATS, internal quality benchmarks, and audit readiness while supporting continuous improvement across academic and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

Ensure compliance with UGC, State Private University Act, MSU Statutes & Ordinances applicable to WISE programs.

Oversee compliance related to Apprenticeship Act, NAPS & NATS for work-integrated programs.

Maintain statutory records, approvals, notifications, and regulatory correspondence.
-
Coordinate with regulators, government departments, and external agencies as required.
2. Quality Assurance & Academic Governance
-
Support implementation and monitoring of IQAC-aligned quality frameworks for WISE.

Ensure adherence to approved curriculum structures, credit frameworks, assessment norms, and academic calendars.

Facilitate internal academic audits, process reviews, and quality assessments.

Assist in preparation for external audits, inspections, and accreditation-related activities (whereapplicable).
3. Documentation & Process Management
-
Develop, maintain, and update SOPs, policy documents, compliance trackers, and academicmanuals.

Ensure proper documentation of MoUs with industry partners, SSCs, and training partners from a compliance lens.

Maintain version control and audit-ready documentation for WISE operations.
4. Coordination & Stakeholder Support
-
Work closely with Academic, COE, Apprenticeship, Industry Partnerships, and Operationsteams to ensure compliance alignment.

Support faculty and academic teams in understanding and implementing regulatory and qualitynorms.

Address compliance-related observations, deviations, and corrective actions.
5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
-
Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and MIS for senior leadership.

Track non-compliances, corrective action plans (CAPA), and closure timelines.

Recommend process improvements to strengthen governance, quality, and scalability of WISEprograms.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
-
Master’s degree in Education, Management, Public Administration, or related discipline.

Knowledge of higher education regulations is essential.
-
6–8 years of experience in academic administration, quality, or compliance roles in universities /higher education institutions.

Exposure to work-integrated learning, apprenticeship programs, or skill-based education will be an added advantage.

Experience working with regulatory bodies and audits preferred.
