Job Title: Plant Head – Plastic Toy Manufacturing
Location: Kadi,Gujarat
Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO
Job Summary
The Plant Head will be responsible for leading the complete manufacturing operations of the plastic toy manufacturing facility, ensuring achievement of business objectives related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and People Development. The role involves strategic planning, operational excellence, plant profitability, capacity expansion, new product industrialization, and customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
· Drive overall plant performance in line with organizational goals and growth plans.
· Develop and execute manufacturing strategies to improve productivity, quality, and profitability.
· Lead plant expansion, automation, and capacity enhancement initiatives.
· Prepare annual operating plans, budgets, and CAPEX proposals.
Manufacturing Operations
· Manage end-to-end operations including Production, PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Projects, SCM, Stores, and Dispatch.
· Ensure achievement of production targets while maintaining optimum resource utilization.
· Monitor and improve plant KPIs including OEE, Productivity, Rejection, OTIF, Inventory, and Cost per Unit.
Injection Moulding & Assembly Operations
· Ensure efficient operation of injection moulding, assembly, printing, and packaging processes.
· Optimize machine utilization, cycle times, manpower productivity, and material consumption.
· Drive process standardization and manufacturing excellence.
New Product Development & Industrialization
· Lead new product launches from development to mass production.
· Coordinate mould trials, validation, process development, and production readiness.
· Support customer requirements and ensure timely project execution.
Financial & Cost Management
· Own plant P&L and drive profitability improvement initiatives.
· Control manufacturing costs, inventory, utilities, and operational expenses.
· Lead cost reduction and value engineering projects.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
· Ensure adherence to customer quality requirements and regulatory standards.
· Drive reduction in customer complaints, rejection, and rework.
· Lead customer, social compliance, quality, and regulatory audits.
Continuous Improvement
· Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including TPM, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, VSM, Poka-Yoke, and Six Sigma.
· Improve OEE, throughput, cycle time, and overall operational efficiency.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
People Leadership
· Lead and mentor departmental heads and cross-functional teams.
· Develop succession planning and talent development programs.
· Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and teamwork.
· Manage industrial relations and employee engagement activities.
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
· Promote a zero-incident safety culture.
· Ensure adherence to ISO, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
· B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Plastics, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
· 15–20+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in a Plant Head/Operations Head role.
· Strong experience in Plastic Injection Moulding and Toy Manufacturing.
· Experience handling large teams and multiple departments.
· Exposure to Greenfield/Brownfield projects and plant setup.
· Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Quality Systems, and Automation.
· Experience with export-oriented manufacturing environments preferred.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
