Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Compliance: Oversee the total daily functioning of the supermarket. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and food sanitation regulations.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Manage ordering, stock rotation (FIFO), wastage control, and inventory accuracy. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate a diverse team of supervisors, cashiers, stockers, and fresh-department staff.
- Financial Accountability: Drive sales targets, manage the store budget, control labor costs, and minimize shrinkage/loss. Handle daily cash reconciliation and banking procedures.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store is always clean, well-lit, fully stocked, and visually appealing. Execute promotional displays and pricing strategies effectively.
- Customer Experience Excellence: Resolve customer complaints tactfully, gather feedback, and cultivate a welcoming shopping environment that builds customer loyalty.
Required Skills & QualificationsCriteriaRequirementExperience3–5+ years of proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-volume supermarket or grocery retail environment. Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but equivalent experience accepted).Tech SavvinessProficiency with Retail ERPs, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and MS Office (Excel).LeadershipStrong leadership, conflict resolution, and people-management skills.Physical StaminaAbility to stand for long periods and lift/move stock when necessary (hands-on approach).
Pay: ₹11,445.12 - ₹25,000.00 per month
