Job Summary
IITIL is seeking a strategic and hands-on Content Head to lead the company’s content strategy, editorial direction, thought leadership, and digital content ecosystem.
The role will own website content, long-form assets, executive communication, case studies, sales enablement, and SEO-led content programs across IITIL’s technology portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and editor with B2B technology experience and the ability to turn complex ideas into clear, credible, and commercially relevant content.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy
- Own IITIL’s content strategy, editorial calendar, content pillars, and distribution plan.
- Build content programs across the customer journey, from awareness to conversion and retention.
- Develop differentiated narratives across AI, Data Intelligence, Cloud, Cybersecurity, DevOps, and Digital Transformation.
Content Development and Editorial Leadership
- Lead the creation of website content, blogs, case studies, whitepapers, reports, e-books, newsletters, sales assets, and executive content.
- Set editorial standards for quality, clarity, accuracy, tone, and brand consistency.
- Review and approve content before publication.
- Ensure content clearly communicates IITIL’s expertise, capabilities, and business value.
Thought Leadership and Digital Content
- Build thought-leadership programs for senior leaders and subject-matter experts.
- Convert technical expertise into articles, viewpoints, reports, speeches, and market-facing insights.
- Own website messaging and develop conversion-focused content for service, industry, and campaign pages.
- Conduct regular content audits and improve outdated or underperforming assets.
SEO and Content Performance
- Partner with SEO and digital teams to develop keyword-led content programs.
- Build topic clusters, pillar pages, and search-focused editorial plans.
- Track organic traffic, rankings, engagement, conversions, and content-assisted pipeline.
- Refresh and repurpose high-performing content across channels.
Sales Enablement and Distribution
- Develop case studies, solution briefs, capability documents, proposals, and account-based content.
- Tailor content to industries, buyer roles, business challenges, and sales stages.
- Distribute content across websites, email, social media, events, webinars, and sales channels.
Team and Operations
- Build and manage writers, editors, researchers, and content strategists.
- Establish editorial workflows, templates, style guides, and approval processes.
- Manage agencies, freelancers, research partners, and subject-matter contributors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, editorial leadership, corporate communications, or B2B writing.
- 5+ years of experience leading content teams or editorial functions.
- Experience in B2B technology, SaaS, IT services, consulting, AI, Analytics, Cloud, or Digital Transformation is preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, research, interviewing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing, content distribution, and demand generation.
- Proven ability to create content for senior business and technology audiences.
- Strong editorial judgment, stakeholder management, and project-management skills.
