Responsibilities
- Write engaging and accurate cricket, football, and general sports news articles.
- Cover breaking news, match previews, match reports, player stories, transfer news, and feature articles.
- Create compelling headlines and intros that attract readers.
- Update stories with the latest developments to maximize Google Discover visibility.
- Research sports trends, statistics, and reliable sources before publishing.
- Ensure content is factual, original, grammatically correct, and published on time.
- Coordinate with the editorial team to meet daily publishing targets.
- Follow SEO and editorial best practices while maintaining journalistic integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- Fresher to 1 Year of experience in content writing, journalism, or digital publishing.
- Strong command of written English.
- Excellent storytelling and news-writing skills.
- Passion for cricket, football, and international sports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Basic understanding of Google Discover, trending topics, and digital journalism is a plus.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (such as WordPress) is an advantage.
