About the Role
MV Diabetes is looking for a dedicated and qualified Hospital Pharmacist to ensure the safe dispensing of medicines, maintain pharmacy inventory, and provide excellent pharmaceutical care to patients while complying with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately as per doctors' prescriptions.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
- Counsel patients on the proper use of medicines, dosage, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain adequate stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of medicines.
- Monitor expiry dates and remove expired or damaged medicines from stock.
- Maintain pharmacy records, billing, and inventory documentation.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for effective patient care.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, NABH standards, and hospital policies.
- Participate in pharmacy audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Qualification
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm / M.Pharm
- Registered Pharmacist with the Tamil Nadu Pharmacy Council (Mandatory)
Experience
- 2–10 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy.
- Freshers with a valid Pharmacist registration may also apply.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of medicines and pharmaceutical practices.
- Knowledge of NABH standards is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and pharmacy software experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
