Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Shop Floor Manager to oversee daily production operations, ensure efficient workflow, maintain quality standards, and achieve production targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing manpower, machine utilization, production planning, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement while ensuring optimum productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage day-to-day shop floor operations to meet production schedules.
- Monitor production output, machine utilization, and workforce efficiency.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Dispatch teams.
- Allocate manpower and resources for optimum productivity.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, and daily MIS.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate shop floor supervisors and operators.
- Monitor inventory consumption and coordinate material availability with stores.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with ISO standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
