We are looking for experienced Non-Motor Underwriters with strong expertise in Property, Liability, Marine, and other commercial insurance lines. The ideal candidate should have strong risk assessment skills, knowledge of insurance products, and the ability to work closely with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
- Evaluate and underwrite non-motor risks, including Property, Liability, Marine, and other commercial lines.
- Assess risk exposure, coverage requirements, pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Ensure underwriting decisions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support sales and business development teams with underwriting expertise and complex client requirements.
- Communicate with insurance companies to develop bespoke products and contingent/customized insurance policies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, claims trends, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with claims teams to identify risk patterns and improve underwriting strategies.
- Support the development and enhancement of insurance products.
- Mentor and guide junior underwriters and assist in training new team members.
- Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and ensure timely processing.
- 2+ years of experience in Non-Motor Underwriting, preferably across Property, Liability, Marine, or commercial insurance.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, risk assessment, and underwriting practices.
- Experience working with insurance companies and negotiating customized/bespoke insurance solutions.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior team leadership/mentoring experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of insurance regulations and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in MS Office and underwriting/insurance software.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as III Associate/Fellow will be an added advantage.
