Role: Procurement or Purchase Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle procurement and purchase of construction materials, equipment, and site requirements
- Prepare purchase orders, comparative statements, quotations, and procurement records
- Coordinate with site teams, vendors, and accounts department for smooth procurement and billing operations
- Negotiate rates, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement
- Verify material specifications, quantities, pricing, bills, and supporting documents before processing
- Ensure bills, purchase documents, and supporting records are verified and signed by all relevant authorities before processing
- Monitor procurement costs and highlight deviations from approved budgets
- Ensure timely availability and quality of materials at project sites
- Maintain vendor records, material inward details, and payment follow-ups
- Assist the HOD in procurement planning, reporting, coordination, and cost control activities
- Follow up on pending orders, vendor commitments, and interdepartmental communication
- Conduct market visits, vendor evaluations, and site visits for procurement-related activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, purchase management, or construction material sourcing
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, and procurement processes
- Experience in real estate plotted development / layout projects preferred
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
- Good negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
- Willingness to travel for site visits, vendor meetings, and market surveys
- Ability to manage procurement and coordination responsibilities effectively
