A Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children aged 2–5 years, fostering their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language development through play-based and experiential learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning experiences in accordance with the school's curriculum.
- Conduct engaging classroom activities including storytelling, rhymes, music, art, craft, games, and hands-on learning exercises.
- Create and maintain a safe, hygienic, organized, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Facilitate the development of early literacy, numeracy, communication, and motor skills.
- Observe, assess, and document each child's developmental progress and learning outcomes.
- Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and guidance.
- Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, teamwork, sharing, and emotional well-being among children.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and school events.
- Maintain attendance records, assessment reports, portfolios, and other required documentation.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, training programmes, and professional development activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school administration to support the overall educational objectives of the institution.
- Adhere to school policies, child protection guidelines, and safety regulations.
