Unicrop Biochem is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Supervisor to join our team. The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing and production unit, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, along with expertise in manufacturing and production unit operations. Additionally, proficiency in supply chain management is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the manufacturing and production unit, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules.
2. Supervise and coordinate plant personnel, including technicians, operators, and other staff members, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
3. Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules, troubleshooting any issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
4. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to manufacturing processes, safety guidelines, and quality control measures.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to streamline production processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Manage inventory levels and supply chain logistics to support production requirements and minimize inventory holding costs.
7. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
8. Provide leadership and guidance to plant personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
9. Prepare reports and performance metrics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor plant performance against established goals.
10. Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing and supply chain management, incorporating relevant innovations into plant operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
Additional qualifications such as a BSc, BBA, or MBA are preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or production industry.
