Assistant Restaurant Manager – Continental Restaurant
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our continental restaurant. The candidate will assist in staff supervision, customer service, operational efficiency, inventory management, and maintaining high hospitality standards to ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesRestaurant Operations
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout the restaurant
- Handle guest concerns and resolve complaints efficiently
Staff Supervision
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff training
- Supervise restaurant staff during shifts
- Assist in preparing duty rosters and shift schedules
- Ensure employees follow grooming and service standards
- Motivate team members to achieve service excellence
Customer Service
- Greet and interact with guests to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a positive dining atmosphere
- Assist in handling VIP guests and special requests
- Promote upselling of menu items and beverages
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers when required
- Minimize wastage and support cost-control initiatives
- Ensure proper handling of restaurant equipment and supplies
Financial & Administrative Support
- Assist with billing, cashiering, and daily sales reporting
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving revenue targets
- Help maintain operational records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Follow health, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Support implementation of restaurant SOPs and service procedures
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in restaurant operations or hospitality
- Experience in continental dining or fine dining preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of restaurant POS systems and inventory processes
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
