About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead who can effectively balance people management and technical execution. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js and PostgreSQL, along with working knowledge of Kafka. Experience with AI tools is an added advantage.
This role requires a hardcore people leader who can mentor team members, drive delivery excellence, and contribute as an Individual Contributor (IC) whenever required.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and manage a team of software engineers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
· Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to team members.
· Design and develop scalable backend applications using Node.js.
· Work extensively with PostgreSQL for database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
· Participate in architecture discussions and drive best engineering practices.
· Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
· Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
· Act as an Individual Contributor whenever required to resolve critical technical challenges.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
· 7–9 years of overall experience in software development.
· Strong hands-on experience in Node.js.
· Good experience working with PostgreSQL.
· Experience or working knowledge of Kafka is mandatory (hands-on expertise preferred; knowledge-level exposure is also acceptable).
· Prior experience in team handling and people management.
· Strong understanding of software development life cycle and coding best practices.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
· Exposure to system design and scalable architecture.
· Experience working in Agile environments.
· Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices will be an advantage.
· Familiarity with AI tools is good to have
