We are seeking a
Sage X3 Reporting Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support reporting solutions for Sage X3. This role requires hands-on experience with Sage X3, Crystal Reports, Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI), and Microsoft SQL Server. The successful candidate should be able to translate business reporting requirements into accurate, efficient, and maintainable reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Sage X3 reporting solutions.
- Develop and enhance Crystal Reports and SEI reports and dashboards.
- Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate reporting approach.
- Identify and work with the appropriate Sage X3 data sources, tables, and relationships.
- Develop SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and supporting datasets as required.
- Troubleshoot reporting, data accuracy, and performance issues.
- Optimize reporting solutions for performance and large data volumes.
- Validate report results against Sage X3 transactional data and business requirements.
- Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions.
- Work with functional consultants and business users to clarify requirements and resolve reporting issues.
- Document reporting solutions and technical designs where required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Sage X3 and its underlying data structure.
- Strong hands-on experience developing Crystal Reports for Sage X3.
- Hands-on experience developing reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using Sage Enterprise Intelligence (SEI).
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL development skills.
- Ability to develop and troubleshoot complex reporting queries and datasets.
- Good understanding of relational databases, data relationships, and reporting architecture.
- Experience troubleshooting reporting performance and data-quality issues.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and investigate unfamiliar reporting requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Experience across multiple Sage X3 functional areas, including Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Finance.
- Experience working with large Sage X3 databases and high transaction volumes.
- SQL Server performance tuning experience.
- Experience with Sage X3 custom development or 4GL.
- Experience supporting Sage X3 upgrades or migrations.
- Experience integrating or reconciling Sage X3 data with external systems.
