We are looking for a Semi-Skilled Carpenter / Carpenter Helper to support our carpentry and installation teams at residential project sites.
The candidate should have basic carpentry skills and be able to assist the senior carpenter in installation, fitting, drilling, assembly and finishing of modular furniture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior carpenters in modular furniture installation.
- Support installation of kitchens, wardrobes, TV units and other furniture.
- Assist with cutting, fitting, drilling and assembly work.
- Handle plywood, MDF, laminates and modular furniture components carefully.
- Assist with hinges, channels, handles and other hardware fittings.
- Support alignment and levelling of cabinets, shutters and panels.
- Use basic hand tools safely and correctly.
- Load, unload and shift materials at project sites.
- Maintain tools and work areas properly.
- Protect finished surfaces and materials during installation.
- Complete assigned work according to the site schedule.
- Follow instructions from the Senior Carpenter and Site Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and discipline at the work site.
- Follow company safety standards.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and furniture installation.
- Ability to use basic carpentry hand tools.
- Basic understanding of drilling, fitting and assembly.
- Experience in modular kitchen or wardrobe installation is preferred.
- Should be physically fit and comfortable working at residential project sites.
- Should be willing to learn and improve carpentry skills.
- Good work discipline and punctuality.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is not a complete fresher/helper, but also does not need to be a fully independent carpenter.
The ideal person should be able to:
Understand instructions → Use basic tools → Assist the carpenter → Do basic fitting → Complete assigned work independently with guidance.
Experience in modular kitchens, wardrobes and residential interiors will be strongly preferred.
Qualification
- 8th / 10th pass or above preferred.
- Relevant practical experience is more important than formal education.
Compensation
₹20,000–₹28,000 per month, depending on skill and experience.
A good semi-skilled candidate who can independently handle basic installation and fitting work can be offered a higher salary.
