Job Purpose
The MEP Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems on-site. This role ensures that all MEP works are executed in strict compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, timelines, safety standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day MEP site activities, ensuring installations (HVAC, electrical panels, lighting, plumbing, fire fighting, and drainage systems) match approved shop drawings.
- Coordinate seamlessly with civil engineers, architects, sub-contractors, and project managers to prevent structural clashes and ensure smooth workflow integration.
- Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for MEP works.
2. Quality Assurance & SOP Compliance
- Ensure all MEP installation processes conform to company SOPs, international engineering standards, and local building codes.
- Conduct routine inspections of workmanship and materials delivered to the site to prevent deviations from specifications.
- Manage the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of all MEP systems before final handover, ensuring optimal performance.
3. Material & Inventory Management
- Review material requisitions and monitor on-site inventory to ensure zero project delays due to supply shortages.
- Implement strict wastage control measures for high-value MEP materials (cables, piping, conduits, and fixtures).
- Verify that all materials received on-site match the approved technical data sheets and purchase orders.
4. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Oversee the performance of MEP subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to the agreed-upon project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Resolve technical queries, conflicts, or site constraints raised by contractors promptly to maintain project momentum.
5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
- Enforce strict site safety protocols specific to electrical and mechanical works (e.g., lockout/tagout procedures, proper PPE utilization).
- Identify potential site hazards related to MEP installations and implement corrective actions immediately.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven experience as an MEP Site Engineer in commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
