Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and litigation-oriented Advocate to join our Patna office. The candidate will be responsible for handling matters related to recovery proceedings, DRT cases, cheque bounce matters, and civil litigation. The role requires regular court appearances, drafting, filing, and coordination with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling matters before Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Civil Courts, and related forums
- Drafting legal notices, petitions, written statements, affidavits, vakalatnamas, and applications
- Managing recovery-related matters including bank and financial institution cases
- Handling cheque bounce matters under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act
- Conducting court appearances, filing, and follow-ups before courts and tribunals
- Coordinating with clients for case updates, documentation, and compliance
- Maintaining proper case records and ensuring timely updates in all matters
- Assisting seniors in litigation strategy and legal research
Requirements:
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university
- Enrollment with Bar Council (AIBE cleared preferred)
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of litigation experience
- Basic understanding of:
- DRT procedures
- Civil litigation
- Recovery proceedings
- Section 138 NI Act matters
- Good drafting and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Willingness to travel locally for court-related work

- Ability to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Candidate may be required to stay beyond office hours in urgent matters
- Availability on calls/messages in critical situations is expected
