Job Summary
The Assistant Manager/Manager- Supply Chain Management is responsible for end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material store management, procurement (domestic and import), finished goods store management, dispatch, and logistics (domestic and export). The role ensures uninterrupted availability of raw materials, accurate inventory control, timely dispatch of finished goods, and compliance with statutory and international trade regulations, while optimizing procurement and logistics costs and maintaining overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Store Management
● Manage receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and spare parts.
● Maintain accurate stock records and ensure real-time inventory accuracy in the ERP system.
● Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
● Ensure proper storage conditions, FIFO/FEFO practices, and adherence to safety and quality norms.
● Coordinate with production and planning teams to ensure timely material availability and avoid stock-outs.
● Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels and raise indents for replenishment.
● Ensure proper documentation for material inward, GRN, and stock transfers.
Purchase & Procurement
● Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts, and services required for manufacturing operations.
● Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, negotiate with suppliers, and finalize purchase orders.
● Develop and maintain a reliable vendor base.
● Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
● Ensure timely procurement to avoid production disruptions.
● Coordinate with production, planning, stores, quality, and finance teams for procurement requirements.
● Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases based on consumption and forecast.
Import Operations
● Coordinate with overseas suppliers for imports of materials, machinery, and spare parts.
● Manage import documentation including Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bill of Lading/Airway Bills, Certificates of Origin, and related documents.
● Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents for timely clearance of imported goods.
● Monitor import shipments and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
● Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT requirements, and other applicable import laws.
● Track import costs and maintain records for cost analysis.
Finished Goods Store Management
● Manage receipt, storage, and stock control of finished goods from production.
● Maintain accurate inventory records of finished goods in the ERP system and ensure system-physical stock reconciliation.
● Ensure proper warehousing practices, space utilization, and product handling to prevent damage or deterioration.
● Coordinate with production, quality, and sales teams on stock availability and allocation.
● Implement and monitor FIFO/batch-wise stock rotation and traceability.
● Conduct periodic cycle counts and physical stock audits of finished goods.
Dispatch & Export Operations
● Plan and coordinate dispatch schedules to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to domestic and overseas customers.
● Coordinate export shipments with customers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
● Prepare and verify dispatch and export documentation such as Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipping Bills, Certificates of Origin, and other statutory documents.
● Ensure accuracy of dispatch documentation, labelling, and packing as per customer and regulatory requirements.
● Ensure compliance with export regulations and customer requirements.
● Coordinate customs clearance and shipment dispatch activities.
● Maintain dispatch and export records and support documentation for audits and regulatory requirements.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
● Coordinate domestic and international transportation activities.
● Optimize freight and logistics costs while maintaining service levels.
● Monitor shipment status and resolve logistics-related issues.
● Coordinate with warehouses, transporters, and dispatch teams for smooth inbound and outbound material movement.
Compliance & Documentation
● Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations related to stores, procurement, imports, and exports.
● Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and inspections.
● Monitor validity and renewal of licenses, registrations, and certifications related to import/export activities.
● Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP, or other applicable quality management systems.
Cost Control & Process Improvement
● Identify opportunities for cost reduction through strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, and negotiation.
● Implement process improvements across stores, procurement, and logistics operations.
● Prepare and analyse procurement, inventory, dispatch, export, and cost reports.
● Support management in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Reporting and Documentation
● Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier agreements.
● Generate regular reports on inventory status, procurement performance, dispatch, and cost savings.
● Prepare detailed reports for senior management on stores, procurement status, and supply chain issues.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or related field.
● Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management, Import-Export Management, or Logistics will be an advantage.
Experience
● 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, covering stores, purchase, import, and export operations within a manufacturing environment.
● Experience in inventory/warehouse management, vendor management, international sourcing, customs procedures, and logistics coordination.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
