Titan, a leading jewellery brand, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager-Modern Gold to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As the Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Modern Gold category for our brand Tanishq.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profitability for the Modern Gold category
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and marketing to develop and launch new products
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch, including pricing, inventory management, and promotions
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize category performance
- Identify and develop relationships with new suppliers to expand the product range and improve product quality
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and maintain profitability
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities for growth
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, preferably in the jewellery industry
- Strong understanding of the Modern Gold market and customer preferences
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
- Willingness to travel as needed

Work Experience
Experience:

8–10 years in organized jewellery retail.

Proven experience launching contemporary or design-led gold collections.

Experience building a category from scratch preferred.

Strong aesthetic judgment.

Exposure to fashion accessories / luxury retail is an advantage.

Ability to work closely with designers and critique effectively.

Demonstrated vendor onboarding & development experience.
