Perform detailed design of bridge superstructures such as:
RCC/PSC girders (T-girders, I-girders, box girders)
Steel and steel–concrete composite decks
Arch, truss, and cable-supported components (if applicable)
Perform design of bridge substructures, including:
Pile foundations, well foundations, open foundations
Abutments, piers, pier caps, retaining walls
Wing walls, approach structures
Conduct structural analysis using Midas Civil, STAAD.Pro, SOFiSTiK, or equivalent.
Prepare and review:
Design reports, calculation sheets, load data
General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)Detailed design drawings
Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Ensure all designs comply with IRC, IS, AASHTO (if applicable) and project specifications.
Perform value-engineering to optimize materials and design.
Assist in proof-checking and internal/external design audits.
Provide technical assistance during construction, erection, and foundation works.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of bridge engineering fundamentals.
Proficiency in structural software:
Midas Civil, STAAD. Pro, Sofistic
2 -15 years hands-on experience in design of bridge substructures & superstructures for highways, railways, or urban infrastructure projects.
