Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Executive / Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and payroll activities. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Indian accounting practices, taxation, and financial management while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Process vendor invoices, customer payments, journal entries, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and file statutory returns, including GST, TDS, and other applicable tax compliances within prescribed timelines.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Perform financial analysis to support cost control, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during statutory and tax audits.
- Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Process employee payroll, reimbursements, and related statutory deductions.
- Prepare project-wise cost reports and maintain supporting financial documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in maintaining healthy financial controls.
- Support management with financial data and reports for informed business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications:
- B.Com.
- M.Com.
- MBA (Finance)
- CA Final / CA Inter
- CMA Qualified / CMA Inter
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Experience with accounting software; Zoho Books knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax provisions, and Indian accounting standards.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in financial records.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related role.
- Experience in handling end-to-end accounting and statutory compliance is preferred.
