Position- Associate Manager/Manager- Procurement
Experience- 8+years
Location- Prabhadevi, Mumbai
Candidates only from Mumbai preferred.
1. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives. This includes identifying cost-saving opportunities, sourcing strategies, and supplier selection criteria.
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms. Regularly assess supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
3. Purchase Planning: Collaborate with various departments to determine their purchasing requirements, ensuring that goods and services are procured in a timely manner to support operational needs.
4. Budget Management: Work closely with finance and budgeting teams to establish and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
5 .Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and identify slow-moving or obsolete items. Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
6. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
7. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them. Continuously monitor market conditions and industry trends to anticipate potential supply disruptions.
8. Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
9. Vendor Performance Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure vendor performance. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to improve supplier quality and reliability.
10. Continuous Improvement: Regularly analyse and optimize procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A master's degree is advantageous.
· Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement leadership role.
· Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
· In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
· Familiarity with inventory management techniques and software.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency in using procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
·A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to handle challenges and achieve procurement goals.
Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
