Position: PrArchitect – Hands-on
Initial Location: Bangalore
Initial Work Duration: Approximately 6 months in Bangalore
Subsequent Location: Germany
Experience Required: 8+ years
Bangalore Annual CTC: Up to ₹50 LPA , depending on the candidate’s profile, relevant experience and technical expertise
Location and Relocation Requirement
The selected candidate will initially work from the Bangalore office for approximately six months. This period will focus on onboarding, integration with the product and engineering teams, understanding the company’s architecture, platforms, development standards and business requirements.
Candidates must therefore be open to working in Bangalore during the initial six-month period and subsequently relocating to Germany.
The compensation mentioned above applies to the Bangalore market. Upon successful transition, the selected candidate will receive an employment contract from the Germany entity with a German CTC structure. This German employment contract will be the primary basis for the relocation and visa process.
Relocation and Transition Support
The company will provide the following support for the candidate’s relocation from Bangalore to Germany:
- Visa processing support
- Visa sponsorship for the selected employee
- Flight ticket from Bangalore to Germany
- Settling-in allowance
- Temporary accommodation upon arrival in Germany
- German-side employment contract with the applicable German CTC
Please note that the visa sponsorship and relocation support are provided for the employee only. Family or dependent visa sponsorship, relocation expenses or related benefits are not included.
Apart from the benefits mentioned above, no additional relocation benefits will be provided.
Social Security and Payroll in Germany
Employees working in Germany will be covered under the applicable statutory German social security system.
The employer will pay the required statutory employer contributions. The employee’s statutory contribution will be deducted from the gross salary through the payroll system. This will apply across all employment levels in accordance with German statutory requirements.
Role Overview
As a hands-on Architect, you will play an active role in shaping and advancing modern, secure and scalable SaaS products. You will take functional and technical ownership of key product components while working closely with development, product and engineering teams.
This is not a pure governance, advisory or documentation-based architecture position. The organisation is looking for an architect who can actively design, build, review, troubleshoot and optimise production-grade systems.
The selected candidate will be expected to balance strategic architectural decision-making with hands-on software engineering and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture and System Design
- Define, develop and continuously evolve the overall architecture of the company’s products and associated platform services.
- Design highly scalable, resilient, secure and cloud-native SaaS architectures.
- Lead the architectural design and development of multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Design and build Identity and Access Management solutions.
- Architect distributed systems and microservices-based platforms.
- Develop API-first platforms that support secure and scalable integrations.
- Design event-driven architectures for modern enterprise applications.
- Establish architectural standards, design patterns, engineering principles and development best practices.
- Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance on system design, scalability, maintainability and security.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools and frameworks based on technical and business requirements.
- Drive the technical roadmap in alignment with product strategy and organisational objectives.
- Identify architectural risks and recommend practical and sustainable solutions.
- Ensure consistency across product components, platform services and engineering teams.
Hands-on Engineering
- Actively contribute to the design and development of core platform components.
- Build, enhance and optimise backend services using Golang.
- Design and implement secure, scalable and maintainable RESTful APIs.
- Develop event-driven integrations and services.
- Design and optimise data models using MongoDB and modern NoSQL architecture patterns.
- Participate directly in coding, debugging and troubleshooting activities.
- Conduct performance analysis, application optimisation and root-cause analysis.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Promote clean code, automated testing, continuous integration and development automation.
- Ensure that architectural decisions are practical and effectively implemented within production systems.
- Work closely with developers to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Support the delivery of reliable, scalable and production-ready software solutions.
Security and Identity & Access Management
The following capabilities are considered highly desirable:
- Design secure-by-default application and platform architectures.
- Drive the adoption of Identity and Access Management standards and security best practices.
- Work with authentication and authorisation frameworks and protocols.
- Apply strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and SAML.
- Implement Zero Trust principles within application and cloud architectures.
- Ensure that products comply with applicable security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend architectural improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure secure implementation across the product lifecycle.
Required Technical Experience
- Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience, with strong exposure to software and solution architecture.
- Proven experience working as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Principal Engineer, Lead Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.
- Prior experience working with SaaS product companies.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang and backend platform engineering.
- Demonstrated experience designing and building distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and implementation.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB and NoSQL database architecture.
- Experience designing scalable and secure APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as Angular, React or similar frameworks.
- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of API-first and event-driven platform architecture.
- Ability to contribute directly to software development while taking ownership of architectural decisions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Identity and Access Management or Customer Identity and Access Management products.
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML and Zero Trust architecture.
- Experience building secure, scalable and highly available SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, privacy and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with performance engineering, system optimisation and root-cause analysis.
- Exposure to automation, testing frameworks and modern DevOps practices.
