Job Summary
NIARC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to work with children with developmental and physical disabilities. The therapist will support children in improving their independence in daily activities, sensory processing, motor skills, and overall functional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delay, and sensory processing disorders
- Develop individualized therapy plans (IEP/ITP) based on each child’s needs
- Conduct therapy sessions focusing on:
- Fine motor skills (writing, grasping)
- Gross motor coordination
- Sensory integration therapy
- Activities of Daily Living (ADL) like dressing, feeding, grooming
- Use therapeutic techniques such as play therapy, sensory integration, and task-oriented training
- Monitor, evaluate, and document progress regularly
- Train and guide parents/caregivers for home-based programs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Physiotherapist, Speech Therapist, Behavioral Therapist, Special Educator)
- Maintain therapy records, reports, and progress notes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience in pediatric therapy or working with children with disabilities preferred
- Freshers with strong interest in pediatric rehabilitation can apply
- Day shift
