A Microfinance Field Officer drives the Joint Liability Group (JLG) lending process. They manage the complete loan cycle from village profiling and group formation to doorstep disbursement and daily collection. Success requires strong field mobility, daily target tracking, and strict portfolio quality control.
- Customer Acquisition: Conduct feasibility studies in rural/semi-urban villages, identify potential borrowers, and form Joint Liability Groups (usually 5 members).
- Verification: Collect KYC documents, conduct background checks (Client Point Verification), and process loan applications.
- Training: Impart pre-disbursement financial training regarding loan utilization, interest rates, and group liability.
- Disbursement & Collection: Facilitate group-wise loan disbursements and conduct scheduled center meetings for weekly or monthly collections.
- Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Minimum SSC (10th Pass) or HSC (12th Pass), though a bachelor's degree is often preferred.
Compensation & Opportunities
- Experience: Both freshers and experienced candidates from microfinance, banking, or rural sales can apply.
- Skills: Strong local networking, basic financial literacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Requirements: A valid driver's license and a two-wheeler are strictly mandatory.
- Age Limit: Typically between 20 and 35 years.
