Job Summary
The RMO/Duty Doctor is responsible for providing continuous medical care to patients, managing emergencies, coordinating with consultants and nursing staff, maintaining medical records, and ensuring high standards of patient care during assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the hospital.
- Provide immediate medical care in emergency situations.
- Monitor admitted patients and review clinical progress.
- Perform routine medical procedures as per hospital protocols.
- Stabilize critically ill patients before referral or transfer.
- Attend medical emergencies, code blue calls, and casualty cases.
Patient Care
- Conduct daily patient rounds and clinical evaluations.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans within authorized limits.
- Explain diagnosis, treatment plans, and prognosis to patients and relatives.
- Ensure continuity of care during shift handovers.
- Monitor admitted patients and review clinical progress.
- Perform routine medical procedures as per hospital protocols.
- Stabilize critically ill patients before referral or transfer.
- Attend medical emergencies, code blue calls, and casualty cases.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with consultants regarding patient management.
- Work closely with nursing staff and allied healthcare professionals.
- Arrange referrals, transfers, and specialist consultations when required.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and case sheets.
- Prepare discharge summaries and medical certificates.
- Ensure compliance with medico-legal documentation requirements.
- Record treatment plans, investigations, and progress notes promptly.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow hospital policies, infection control practices, and clinical protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical registration with the appropriate medical council.
- ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
- Experience in emergency medicine, ICU, or hospital practice preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
