Who We Are
We are Kathputlee Arts & Films — a creative production house with film and brand DNA. We have produced content for Netflix (Do Patti), worked with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Kriti Sanon, and built campaigns for Hero Cycles, Kirloskar, Lux, and PI Industries. We work across brand films, social content, and scripted originals.
We are building an AI video creator pool — not for people who execute briefs, but for people who interrogate them.
How We Think
Every brief we receive has a stated ask and a real ask.
The stated ask is what the client wrote. The real ask is what they actually need.
We hire people who find the gap between the two — before they open a single tool.
If you build first and think later, you will make beautiful things that do nothing.
If you think first and build second, you will make things that work — and occasionally, things that matter.
What We Are NOT Looking For
- Animators who produce technically polished work that misses the brief's emotional intent
- People who describe their process as 'I get a brief and I execute'
- Creators who confuse tool fluency with strategic thinking
- Anyone who needs a complete creative direction before they can begin
- Operators who cannot explain why a creative choice was made, only what was made
What We ARE Looking For
- You read a brief and your first question is 'who is this really for and what do we want them to feel?'
- Your AI output feels like film production — not prompt generation
- You can sit in a client room, defend a creative direction, and adjust without losing the idea
- You have directed or mentored a junior creator and can explain your feedback approach
- You maintain visual and character consistency across multi-shot AI sequences
- Post-production is always part of your workflow — AI is your starting point, not your final output
What You Will Work On
- AI Brand Films: Brand content, product stories, campaign films — AI as production tool
- AI Character Storytelling: Consistent characters, narrative sequences, world-building
- UGC & Synthetic Media: AI avatars, lip-sync, testimonial-style content that feels real
- Social & Reels: AI-assisted motion content, snackable formats, platform-native output
- Trailers & Film Promos: Teasers, cinematic sequences, streaming-grade promo content
The Reality
- Work varies — 20 reels one week, one 3-minute hero film the next
- Briefs are functional — you add the strategic and cinematic intelligence
- Quality bar is 'would this run on a streaming platform?' — not 'is this good for YouTube?'
- You will occasionally be in the room when the brief is being written — that is not accidental
- Payment is project-based; consistency depends on quality, speed, and creative instinct

2. Shortlisted candidates receive the practical test — strategy brief + video output
3. Your reel must show AI video work specifically — general motion graphics reels without AI output will not be considered
4. No test = no shortlisting. No exceptions.
Note on the test:
For every brief you attempt, you will first submit a 150-word pre-production strategy brief —
who is this really for, what is the real communication problem, what should the viewer feel.
Your strategic thinking will be evaluated independently of your video output.
A technically excellent video built on a lazy strategy brief will not pass.
