Job Summary
The Merchandiser is responsible for coordinating with buyers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure orders are executed smoothly from product development to final shipment. The role focuses on meeting customer requirements, maintaining quality standards, controlling costs, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle buyer enquiries and manage orders from development to shipment.
- Coordinate sample development and obtain buyer approvals.
- Prepare and maintain the Time & Action (T&A) calendar.
- Coordinate with sourcing teams for fabrics, trims, and accessories.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Stores, and Commercial departments.
- Prepare costing sheets and assist in price negotiations.
- Track order status and resolve production-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with buyer quality standards and specifications.
- Arrange inspections and coordinate shipment documentation.
- Maintain merchandising records, reports, and order documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Textile, Fashion, Apparel, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in garment merchandising (Freshers may be considered for Trainee Merchandiser roles).
- Good knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, garments, and production processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare costing sheets and production reports.
- Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good time management and organizational skills.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, office-based role with regular factory visits.
- Frequent coordination with buyers, vendors, and production teams.
- May require extended working hours to meet shipment deadlines.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
