Digital Doctor Clinic is operating under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish Digital Doctor Clinics across rural villages. Job Description – Backend Developer

About the Role
We are looking for a tech-savvy and enthusiastic Backend Developer who is passionate about technology, coding, problem-solving, and learning new tools.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of backend development fundamentals and a strong desire to keep up with new technologies, AI tools, automation, and modern software development practices.
This role is suitable for a fresher who may not have professional experience but has developed academic, personal, internship, or project-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend applications and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues.
- Work closely with frontend developers and other team members.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Use Git/GitHub for source-code management.
- Learn and work with new backend frameworks, libraries, and technologies.
- Assist in improving application performance, security, and scalability.
- Explore opportunities to automate repetitive development and business tasks.
- Stay updated with new AI tools and emerging technologies relevant to software development.
- Be interested in learning and experimenting with new AI tools.
- Have basic hands-on experience with tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI tools.
- Understand how AI can be used for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, research, and automation.
- Be willing to learn new AI-powered development tools as they emerge.
- Have a basic understanding of APIs, LLMs, prompts, and AI integrations.
- Be able to review and understand AI-generated code instead of simply copying it.
- Show curiosity about how AI can be integrated into software and business applications.
Required Technical Skills
- Good understanding of programming fundamentals, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
- Knowledge of at least one backend language:
- Node.js / JavaScript / TypeScript
- Python
- Java
- PHP
- or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, authentication, and web application architecture.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / BCA B.Sc. Computer Science / IT or equivalent qualification.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant internships or personal projects are welcome to apply.
Good to Have
- Experience building a REST API or web application.
- Basic knowledge of Node.js, Express, Python, Django/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of Docker or cloud platforms.
- Exposure to AI APIs or LLM-based applications.
- Experience using AI coding assistants.
- GitHub profile with personal or academic projects.
