Job description:
Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of project assistant (leading to a PhD) at the Centre for Research in Pure and Applied Sciences (CRPAS), Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, Bangalore, Karnataka. The selected candidate will work in areas related to genomics and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and will be required to register for a PhD program at Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, subject to fulfilling the university’s eligibility criteria
Essential Qualifications
- First class in M.Sc. or B.Tech/M.Tech in Biotechnology / Life Sciences
- CSIR-UGC JRF/NET or GATE qualification preferred (strong preference for CSIR-qualified candidates)

Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years
- Up to 28 years (flexible for candidates with relevant qualifications/research experience).

Fellowship & Terms
- As per University/Project norms
- The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
Duration
- Initial appointment for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance
- The candidate is expected to work towards peer-reviewed publications and completion of the PhD degree
