Job Title: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (OBG Specialist)
Location: Iswarya Fertility & Women's Hospital, Sivakasi
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecological health. The role involves managing high-risk and routine pregnancies, performing obstetric and gynecological procedures, and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. Candidates with experience in Maternity, Fertility, IVF, or Women's Healthcare Hospitals will be given preference.
Eligibility
- MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (or equivalent recognized qualification).
- Valid registration with the appropriate Medical Council.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.
- Experience in Maternity, Fertility, IVF, or Multi-specialty Hospitals is preferred.
- Excellent clinical, surgical, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to pregnant women.
- Conduct normal deliveries, assisted deliveries, and Caesarean Sections.
- Diagnose and treat gynecological disorders and reproductive health conditions.
- Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures, including laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures where applicable.
- Evaluate and manage high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies.
- Counsel patients on pregnancy, fertility, family planning, contraception, menopause, and women's health.
- Collaborate with Anaesthetists, Paediatricians, Radiologists, NICU, OT, and Nursing teams to ensure comprehensive maternal and neonatal care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control practices, patient safety standards, and ethical medical practices.
- Participate in emergency duties and provide timely medical care during obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Rotational duty schedule
- Candidates should be willing to provide on-call and emergency services, including night duties, as required.
Salary
- Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and interview performance.
Preferred Candidate
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience as an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist.
- Previous experience in Maternity, Fertility, IVF, Women's Healthcare, or Multi-specialty Hospitals will be an added advantage.
- Expertise in managing normal and high-risk pregnancies.
- Skilled in obstetric and gynecological surgeries.
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills.
