Job Title: HR Payroll Specialist / Payroll Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a meticulous and data-driven HR Payroll Specialist to manage our end-to-end payroll operations. You will be responsible for collecting timekeeping data, calculating wages, processing tax withholdings, and resolving payroll discrepancies. The ideal candidate has strong mathematical aptitude, deep knowledge of employment tax laws, and absolute discretion with confidential data.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Execute weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll cycles accurately for all salaried and hourly employees.
- Data Verification: Review timesheets, attendance logs, overtime hours, commissions, and bonuses to verify calculation accuracy.
- Tax Compliance: Calculate and deposit local, state, and federal taxes, statutory deductions, and voluntary retirement contributions.
- Year-End Filing: Prepare, review, and distribute annual tax summaries, such as Form W-2s, 1099s, or region-specific tax documents.
- System Maintenance: Update the internal database with new hire profiles, salary changes, bank details, and termination payouts.
- Benefits Integration: Coordinate with providers to manage deductions for health insurance, leaves of absence, and paid time off
- Discrepancy Resolution: Serve as the main contact for staff queries regarding payslips, deductions, or direct deposit errors.
- Audit & Reporting: Prepare detailed monthly payroll registers, variance analysis reports, and support internal or external financial audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 1–1.5 years of dedicated experience running payroll, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Professional credentials like Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and dedicated payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or Gusto).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of labour codes, wage-hour laws (e.g., FLSA), and payroll tax filing rules.
- Soft Skills: Extreme attention to detail, strong numerical accuracy, and excellent conflict resolution capabilities.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
