Job Title: Service Advisor
Job Summary
A Service Advisor acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department. They are responsible for understanding customer concerns, coordinating repairs or maintenance, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and listen to their vehicle/service concerns.
- Clearly explain recommended services, costs, and timelines.
- Open and manage service orders accurately.
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and quality service.
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding service status.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance when appropriate.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and billing processes are followed.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience in customer service or automotive service industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic technical knowledge of vehicles/services (depending on industry).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and service management software.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
