About Tiffexx
Tiffexx is an early-stage, tech-first product company building our core platform in-house. As a founding member of the intern cohort, you’ll work directly with our engineering team on real, production-facing features from day one — not busywork. This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants to learn how a product is actually built, shipped, and iterated on in a startup environment.
About the Internship
We’re looking for a Product Technical Developer Intern to join our engineering team for a 3-month, full-time, paid internship. You’ll get hands-on experience across the stack — primarily React.js on the frontend and Node.js on the backend — working alongside experienced developers who will mentor you and review your code. This internship is designed for someone early in their career who wants real product-building experience, not just tutorials and courses.
Strong performers will have the opportunity to convert to a full-time role at the end of the 3 months — this internship is genuinely a pipeline into our founding engineering team, not just a short-term project.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship real features on our product using React.js on the frontend and Node.js/Express on the backend
- Work with REST APIs — both consuming and building endpoints
- Collaborate directly with senior developers and get your code reviewed in real pull requests
- Debug issues, fix bugs, and learn how production code differs from tutorial code
- Participate in daily standups and sprint planning, and learn how an Agile team actually operates
- Get exposure to the full product lifecycle — from a feature spec to a deployed release
- Work with a modern toolchain: Git/GitHub, databases (MongoDB/MySQL), and cloud basics
What We're Looking For
- Working knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- Some hands-on exposure to React.js — college projects, personal projects, or coursework all count
- Basic familiarity with Node.js/Express, or strong willingness to learn quickly
- Comfortable with Git and GitHub for version control
- A genuine interest in product engineering — curious about how things work end-to-end, not just the UI
- Available full-time for the complete 3-month duration
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (final-year students welcome to apply)
Good to Have (Not Required)
- Personal projects or a GitHub profile showing things you’ve built
- Exposure to TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, or any state management library (Redux, Context API, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.)
- Any prior internship, freelance, or hackathon experience
