Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IBMS (Integrated Building Management System) Operator for our Data Centre operations team in Bhubaneswar. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining critical facility infrastructure through the IBMS platform to ensure uninterrupted Data Centre operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate the Integrated Building Management System (IBMS) on a 24x7 shift basis.
- Continuously monitor critical Data Centre infrastructure, including:
- HVAC systems
- Precision Air Conditioning (PAC) units
- UPS systems
- DG sets
- Electrical panels
- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV monitoring
- Water Leak Detection Systems
- Identify alarms, faults, and abnormal operating conditions and escalate as per SOP.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Coordinate with facility maintenance teams and vendors for issue resolution.
- Maintain incident logs, shift handover reports, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with Data Centre operational standards and safety procedures.
- Support preventive maintenance and planned shutdown activities.
- Participate in emergency response activities and critical incident management.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with IBMS/BMS monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of Data Centre facility operations.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC, UPS, DG, Fire Alarm, and Access Control systems.
- Ability to analyze alarms and perform first-level troubleshooting.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines.
- 3–10 years of experience in Data Centre, Critical Facility, Building Management System (BMS), or Facility Operations.
- Experience working in 24x7 shift environments.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
