Role Overview
The PMO & Business Operations team member will support the business unit by driving program governance, operational discipline, and execution excellence across internal and client-facing initiatives. The role will work closely with Partners, Directors, engagement teams, and enabling functions to ensure effective planning, tracking, reporting, financial control, and risk management across engagements and strategic programs.
Key Responsibilities
PMO & Engagement Governance
- Establish and manage PMO governance across business unit programs and client engagements
- Track engagement plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues
- Ensure adherence to firm‑wide project management, quality, and risk management standards
- Support leadership reviews and governance forums with structured reporting and insights
Business Operations & Delivery Support
- Support resource planning, utilization tracking, and capacity management across engagements
- Monitor operational KPIs related to delivery health, timelines, and productivity
- Drive timely follow‑ups and closure of action items across cross‑functional teams
Financial & Commercial Management
- Track engagement budgets, billing milestones, planned vs. actuals, etc.
- Support invoicing, revenue tracking and coordination with finance teams
- Assist in scope change assessments, commercial impact analysis and business case preparation for new initiatives or extensions
Stakeholder & Communication Management
- Act as a coordination point between Partners, engagement teams, finance, risk, and operations
- Prepare executive‑ready dashboards, MIS reports, and presentations
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges with suggestive mitigation plans
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement across PMO and business operations
- Support internal audits, reviews, and compliance requirements through robust documentation and controls
- Enable adoption of firm tools, templates, and reporting standards
Vendor Management and Legal Contracts
- Manage and oversee relationships with external vendors, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and periodic reviews
- Review, draft, and negotiate legal and commercial contracts, including software licenses, service agreements, NDAs, and statements of work, in collaboration with internal legal and procurement teams.
- Ensure vendor contracts comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
- Track contract milestones, renewals, amendments, and terminations to ensure timely actions and continuity of services.
- Act as a key point of contact for vendor‑related contractual matters and support issue resolution as required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of PMO, program management, and consulting delivery models.
- Working knowledge of financial tracking, billing, and engagement economics.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting dashboards.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, high‑pressure consulting environment.
- Ability to leverage AI to support, optimize, and enhance day ‑ to ‑ day deliverables
Qualification, Experience and Location
· MBA (Finance / Operations / Strategy / General Management preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in PMO, business operations, finance consulting, advisory, or professional services.
- Exposure to client-facing engagements and senior leadership interactions preferred.
- Experience within Big4 or large consulting organizations is a strong advantage.
- PMP or Prince2 certification preferred
