Job Title: Restaurant Captain

Job Summary
Golden Castle Restaurant is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise service operations and ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. The Restaurant Captain will lead the steward team, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain high service standards in line with the restaurant’s quality and hospitality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide stewards during service hours
- Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
- Welcome guests and assist with seating arrangements
- Take food and beverage orders when required and ensure timely service
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar staff for accurate order delivery
- Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation standards
- Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure quick resolution
- Train, motivate, and support steward staff
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service standards
- Assist in shift planning and daily service briefings
- Maintain discipline and teamwork among service staff
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school or equivalent (Hotel Management preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience in restaurant service, with at least 1 year as Captain or Senior Steward
- Good communication skills in English and Malayalam (additional languages preferred)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a team
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
