Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Consultant with a strong background in Application Management Services (AMS) to provide production support, incident resolution, system enhancements, and continuous improvement for SAP Materials Management processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments and be capable of supporting business-critical procurement and inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP MM in an AMS environment.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and change requests while meeting SLA commitments.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring issues.
- Configure and support SAP MM processes, including:
- Procurement (Procure-to-Pay)
- Purchase Requisitions (PR)
- Purchase Orders (PO)
- Request for Quotation (RFQ)
- Vendor Master
- Material Master
- Source Determination
- Inventory Management
- Goods Receipt (GR) / Goods Issue (GI)
- Invoice Verification (LIV)
- Physical Inventory
- Release Strategy
- Support master data management and troubleshoot transactional issues.
- Coordinate with ABAP and technical teams for developments, enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and workflows.
- Perform functional testing, regression testing, and support transport deployments.
- Prepare functional specifications and maintain support documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SD, PP, QM, WM/EWM, FI/CO, and ABAP consultants.
- Participate in user discussions, issue triage meetings, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP MM.
- Strong experience in AMS/Production Support projects.
- Good knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Materials Management.
- Expertise in procurement, inventory management, and purchasing processes.
- Hands-on experience in incident management, problem management, and change management.
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes.
- Experience integrating SAP MM with PP, SD, QM, WM/EWM, and FI/CO.
- Ability to analyze production issues and provide timely functional solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
- Exposure to global AMS support engagements.
- SAP S/4HANA implementation or support experience.
- SAP MM Certification is an added advantage.
- Manufacturing domain experience is preferred.
