We are looking for a passionate Product Engineer Intern who wants to build real products, solve meaningful problems and gain hands-on experience working in a startup environment.
Role Overview
As a Product Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the founding team, developers and designers to build and improve Blyft’s mobile and web experiences.
You will contribute to product development from idea to execution, including designing solutions, implementing features, testing and improving user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mobile and web application features.
- Convert UI/UX designs into functional and scalable product experiences.
- Build reusable components and write clean, maintainable code.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
- Work on user-facing features such as authentication, profiles, discovery, feeds and marketplace experiences.
- Debug issues and optimise application performance.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers.
- Participate in product discussions and suggest improvements.
- Take ownership of assigned features from development to completion.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of programming fundamentals.
- Experience with React Native, Flutter, React.js or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript is preferred.
- Understanding of APIs, databases and application architecture.
- Familiarity with Git and development workflows.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage startup environment.
Preferred:
- Previous experience building mobile/web applications.
- Experience working on personal projects or open-source contributions.
- Interest in startups, fashion technology or consumer applications.
