Job Description Position: Site Project Engineer – Railway Telecom & Security Overview
We are looking for an experienced Site Project Manager to oversee telecom and security infrastructure projects at railway stations. You will manage the installation and deployment of critical communication and surveillance systems, coordinate with technical teams, and ensure all work meets railway standards and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the installation and setup of telecom and security infrastructure at railway stations.
- Coordinate with vendors, technicians, and project teams to ensure smooth execution of work.
- Monitor daily progress, track milestones, and prepare accurate project reports.
- Ensure all work complies with technical specifications and Indian Railways standards.
- Manage material procurement, inventory, and resource allocation on site.
- Conduct system testing and validation before handover to operations.
- Maintain safety standards and follow all railway site regulations and protocols.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly in consultation with project leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience: 1 – 5 years of hands-on experience in site project execution with a proven background in railway or government infrastructure projects.
- Railway Project Background: Essential experience working on Indian Railways projects.
- Core Skills:
- Strong site coordination and stakeholder management
- Clear communication and reporting abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making in field conditions
- Technical understanding of telecom and security systems
- Flexibility: Willing to travel and work at multiple railway station locations as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with telecom infrastructure or security system deployment.
- Familiarity with Indian Railways procurement and documentation standards.
- Certifications in telecom, networking, or railway safety.
- Proficiency in English and regional languages.
