We are looking for an experienced Product Design Expert to lead the design and development of bamboo-based products - from concept through prototype to production-ready specifications. Designer will combine product design skills with hands-on 3D modelling and a genuine understanding of bamboo as a material, working closely with artisans, clusters, and production team to create products that are functional, beautiful, manufacturable and true to the material's strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D production drawings, including dimensioned drawings, assembly details, and joinery specifications.
- Develop working knowledge of existing product range, materials, and production capabilities.
- Specify treatment, seasoning, and finishing requirements to ensure durability (crack resistance, anti-insect, moisture handling).
- Prepare reports-quality renders and design documentation for clients, management, and production.
- Ensure designs meet cost, quality, sustainability, and production-feasibility targets.
- Stay current on materials, sustainability practices, and market trends in bamboo and natural-material products.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a closely related field. Equivalent experience with an outstanding portfolio will be considered.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling
- Strong hand-sketching and concept-development skills.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
