Job Summary
The Purchase Officer is responsible for managing the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and services. The role focuses on obtaining quality products at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with company policies and building strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to ensure timely procurement.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Verify purchased items for quality and quantity upon receipt.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable regulations.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts.
- Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service standard
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
