About the Role
We are looking for a motivated MEP Design Engineer – Plumbing & Fire Fighting Systems (PHE & FFP) to join our design team. The role involves designing, reviewing, and coordinating plumbing and fire protection systems for high-rise residential projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and review plumbing and firefighting system designs for high-rise residential buildings.
· Develop design calculations, schematic layouts, riser diagrams, and detailed drawings.
· Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, HVAC, and site execution teams for design integration.
· Review MEP consultant drawings and provide technical inputs during design development.
· Ensure compliance with NBC, IS Codes, local authority regulations, and project specifications.
· Assist in material selection, technical evaluations, and preparation of BOQs.
· Participate in design coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary design clashes.
· Support site teams by providing technical clarifications and design modifications when required.
· Review shop drawings and ensure adherence to approved designs.
· Maintain project documentation and design records.
Required Skills
· 1–3 years of experience in designing plumbing and fire fighting systems, including water supply, drainage, sewage, and storm water networks for high-rise residential projects.
· Understanding of relevant codes and standards related to plumbing and fire protection.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP will be an added advantage.
· Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
· Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Preferred Experience
· 1–3 years of experience in Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design within the building construction industry.
· Exposure to high-rise residential projects will be preferred.
· Experience in design coordination and consultant interactions is an advantage.
