Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tender Estimation Expert to join our MEP Tendering team. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing tender documents, preparing detailed BOQs, estimating project costs, and submitting competitive techno-commercial bids for HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing, and Utility projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial understanding, and coordination with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, rate analysis, and project budgets for MEP works.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements and evaluate vendor offers.
- Develop and submit techno-commercial proposals within stipulated timelines.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities for value engineering.
- Support bid clarifications, negotiations, and post-tender activities.
- Coordinate with project execution teams during project handover.
- Maintain estimation databases, costing records, and tender documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and tender conditions.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing, and Utility systems.
- Hands-on experience in MEP tendering, estimation, and BOQ preparation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for costing, rate analysis, and bid evaluation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of market rates, materials, labour costing, and subcontracting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 3–4 years of experience in MEP estimation and tendering.
- Experience in commercial buildings, industrial projects, hospitals, data centers, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
