Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified, passionate, and experienced PGT English Teacher to teach students of Grades 10 and 11 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess excellent subject knowledge in English language and literature, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire students toward academic excellence, critical thinking, and effective expression.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for board and senior secondary examinations, and developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English lessons as per the CBSE curriculum for Grades 10 and 11.
- Teach English language, grammar, writing skills, prose, poetry, drama, and literature effectively.
- Prepare students for board examination standards, including answer writing techniques and exam-oriented strategies.
- Design lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Develop students’ skills in reading comprehension, creative writing, analytical writing, and literature interpretation.
- Conduct periodic tests, unit tests, pre-boards, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Student Development
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, communication, and literary appreciation.
- Guide students in improving spoken and written English.
- Support students in debates, elocution, essay writing, dramatics, and literary club activities.
- Provide remedial support to struggling learners and enrichment tasks for advanced students.
- Mentor students for board exam preparation and academic growth.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Use interactive and learner-centered teaching methodologies.
- Integrate digital tools, presentations, and smart board resources into teaching.
- Foster confidence and active participation among students.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain student performance records, assessment data, and progress reports.
- Attend PTMs and communicate student progress effectively to parents.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, orientation, and school events.
- Support examination duties, invigilation, and school academic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in English / English Literature (Mandatory)
- B.Ed. (Mandatory)
- CTET / TET preferred where applicable
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching English in a CBSE school, preferably senior grades

- Strong command over English language and literature

- Effective classroom and behavior management
- Proficiency in MS Office, Smart Board, and EdTech tools
