Job descriptionAbout the Role:
We are looking for a Python Developer with experience in building web applications using Flask to join our dynamic development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Python, Flask, and web technologies, and be excited about solving technical challenges in an innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using Flask and Python.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Develop and maintain databases and perform basic database operations (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite).
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Python developer with hands-on experience using Flask for web development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Experience with web frameworks and tools such as Flask, Django (optional), or similar.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience integrating third-party services.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite.
- Proficient in version control using Git.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic front-end knowledge).
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and development processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
- Experience with asynchronous programming (e.g., Celery with Flask).
